ACADEMIC
HBCU Recruiting Initiative
One of our most important and passionate services is the educational guidance of young men. We know that the Historical Black College and University is the premier pipeline of educating young minority males. Not only getting young men to attend HBCUs, but graduating from an HBCU is important. We connect with local churches and their communities in the Central Savannah River Area, which consist of 18 counties, and provide them with college information in regards to HBCUs. We also provide free transportation for tours to HBCUs in Georgia, NC, and SC.
Minority Male Teacher Initiative
The impact of having a black male teacher is an important factor to the success of young minority students in the classroom. Academics, Behavior, and Social skills are developed and maintained. Understanding the importance of this, we have a focus on encouraging young minority male high school students to get interested in the profession of Education. Establishing a connection with HBCUs Schools of Education, can help get the word out, and reach more young men in our area, and get them interested in becoming a Teacher
